Terms of use
Last updated: October 2026. By installing or using the DailyDivine app ("the app") you agree to these terms.
What the app is
DailyDivine offers a daily verse, an alarm, a reflection journal, streaks and an optional daily wallpaper for personal, non-commercial use.
Religious content
- The app is not a religious authority and does not replace guidance from your own community or teachers.
- Verses come from public-domain translations, so the language can be old-fashioned. The selection and arrangement of passages is editorial and reflects one person's choices.
- The app is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any religious organisation.
Sources and credits
- Hinduism: The Song Celestial (Bhagavad-Gita), translated by Sir Edwin Arnold, 1885. Public domain.
- Christianity: King James Version of the Bible. Public domain in the United States.
- Islam: The Meaning of the Glorious Koran, translated by Marmaduke Pickthall, 1930. Public domain. Text via Tanzil.net.
- Buddhism: The Dhammapada, translated by F. Max Müller, Sacred Books of the East vol. X, 1881. Public domain.
- Typeface: Poppins, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Alarm tones are original audio created for the app.
Alarms and reminders
The app uses Android's alarm features, but phones can delay or block background activity (for example through battery-saving settings), and a phone that is switched off or in a restricted mode cannot ring. Please do not rely on the app alone for anything time-critical, such as a medical or travel commitment.
Daily wallpaper
If you turn on the Daily Wallpaper feature, the app replaces your home and/or lock screen wallpaper with the day's verse once a day. It cannot restore the wallpaper you had before. You can turn the feature off at any time; the last wallpaper then stays until you change it in your phone's settings. Use only photos you have the right to use.
Ownership
The app's code, design and original audio belong to grvthakur. The public-domain texts listed above remain free for anyone to use. Your own reflections and photos belong to you and stay on your phone.
No warranty and limits of liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including a missed alarm. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
