DailyDivine

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026. This policy applies to the DailyDivine app for Android ("the app").

In short: DailyDivine keeps everything on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and the app does not request internet access, so it has no way to send your information to us or anyone else.

Who is responsible

The app is published by grvthakur ("we"). You can contact us at gaurav954624@gmail.com.

What the app stores, and where

To work, the app saves the following on your device only:

InformationWhy
The tradition and language you chooseTo show verses from your tradition
Your alarms (time, days, tone, read-aloud choice)To ring when you ask
The days you opened the app, your streak and badgesTo show your streak
Bookmarked versesTo keep your favourites
Reflections you write and the mood you pickFor your private journal and history
Settings (notification times, voice speed, wallpaper options)To remember your preferences
A copy of the photo you choose for the wallpaperSo the daily wallpaper can use it later

Your choice of tradition may reveal your religious beliefs, which is sensitive information. It is stored only on your phone. It is never transmitted, shared or sold.

What we do not do

Permissions the app asks for, and why

PermissionWhat it is used for
NotificationsYour daily verse, streak reminder and milestone messages, if you allow them
Alarms and exact alarmsTo ring your alarm at the time you set
Full-screen alarm and foreground serviceTo show the alarm screen over the lock screen and keep the alarm sound playing
Run at startupTo set your alarms again after the phone restarts
Vibrate and keep awakeTo vibrate and wake the screen when the alarm rings
Set wallpaperOnly if you turn on the Daily Wallpaper feature, to put the day's verse on your home or lock screen

Choosing a wallpaper photo uses Android's own photo picker. The app can only see the single photo you pick, not your gallery.

Read-aloud (text-to-speech)

If you use the read-aloud feature, the verse text is handed to your phone's text-to-speech engine (for example Google's). If your phone uses an online voice, that engine's provider may process the text under its own privacy policy; offline voices do not send data anywhere. The app does not control or receive anything from that engine.

Links that open in your browser

Settings contains links to this policy and to the terms. They open in your phone's web browser, which then connects to the internet on its own. The app itself makes no network requests.

Backups

Android backup is turned off for this app, so its data is not copied to Google Drive or transferred by the app to a new phone. If you change phones you will start fresh.

How long we keep information, and deleting it

Information stays on your phone until you remove it. Use Settings → Clear all data in the app to erase everything it stores (including the wallpaper photo copy), or uninstall the app. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Children

DailyDivine is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect any from children.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, and you control all of it on your device. If you have a question, write to gaurav954624@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes how it handles information (for example, by adding ads or an online feature), we will update this policy and the date above before the change reaches you.
